QuantWorks
I assume you are seeing this page because you're reading comments I've made on other Blogger/Blogspot blogs. Welcome!
My real QuantWorks blog can be found here:
QuantWorks - Dedicated to creative and artistic visions of quantitative matters
Besides all the serious tech stuff, I've taken a new interest in a game called Proximity.

Is infinity a number?
My son keeps asking me "Is infinity a number?" I've given him a number of answers ranging from "yes" to "sort of". He's just a 2nd grader, so I felt no harm was being done by my telling him that, yes, infinity is a number. However, he came back a few days later saying that a friend said infinity was not a number. So I now have adjusted to saying that infinity is a "numerical concept".
So how to best explain infinity to a 2nd grader? Per Dr. Math, "Infinity... is a way of describing something that never comes to an end."
